Xiaodan Wu

An interdisciplinary research background spanning engineering, operations research, computational music analysis, and independent work in fundamental physics.

Xiaodan Wu is an independent researcher with a background in mechanical engineering, operations research, and interdisciplinary computational research. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from South China University of Technology in 2002 and an M.S. in Operations Research Engineering from the University of Southern California in 2004.

During his graduate studies at USC, he conducted research at the Integrated Media Systems Center (IMSC), working in computational music analysis and music information retrieval. He co-authored research on polyphonic music voice separation with Elaine Chew.

After a career in technology and engineering, he returned to independent research in fundamental physics. His current work explores geometric approaches to spacetime emergence, fundamental physical constants, and the possible relationship between matter, fields, and spacetime structure.
